A FEW BASIC RULES OF RENTAL:
- You receive the camper clean and return it clean (inside)
- You receive the camper full of fuel and you return it full of fuel
- You receive your camper filled with water for washing, with an empty grey water tank – you return it with an empty grey water (sewage) tank.
- You receive the camper with a clean and empty chemical toilet cassette – you return it like that.
- A chemical toilet in a camper requires appropriate biodegradable materials, including special toilet paper – a small starter kit is included, but for a longer trip – you need to buy special toilet paper (you can get it from us).
- The camper includes: cutlery, dishes, pots, kettle, frying pan, dish drainer, bucket…
- The campervan is equipped with electrical outlets – which work at campsites when connected to an external power source – and car outlets – which work while driving. Make sure you have a way to charge your essential devices.
- When camping, you’ll need a garden hose and an electric extension cord – you’ll have them in your car.
- Some countries require special markings, for example, on bicycle racks. If you tell us where you’re going, we’ll tell you what you need to bring (we usually already have it).
PREPARE FOR YOUR TRIP::
When preparing for your trip, think about what you’ll be doing, where you’ll be traveling, and what if your plans change, for example, a sudden change in the weather… Our advice? First and foremost: LEAVE IT EASY!!!
Vacations are supposed to be fun, and camping is for peace of mind… Planning to travel a few hundred kilometers, but you’re stuck in traffic? Nothing bad will happen… Halfway there, you’re sure to find a fantastic place to stop, rest, and relax… Your destination won’t disappear if you arrive a day late…
The sooner you start thinking this way, the less stress you’ll face… So get to it. Pack the bare essentials, but: DON’T OVER PACK.
Camping will require basic essentials, and casual, comfortable, and/or casual clothing. You’ll also quickly realize that having too many items in a small space makes moving around difficult (you have to pack everything carefully before you leave), and it also makes it harder to find the right items in the camper’s storage compartments and nooks…
When it comes to food, everyone has their own preferences… We strongly believe that it’s worth taking your everyday essentials (coffee, tea, favorite treats) and meals for one or two days in case you have to stop in the wilderness… But really, you can buy butter or eggs anywhere, so you don’t have to pack a two-week supply…
What you should take::
- good humor and attitude! Without it, don’t even pack the rest…
- basic dry products in small quantities (coffee, tea, sugar, spices)
- personal cosmetics and daily chemicals
- shower flip-flops (you will often bathe in comfortable sanitary facilities at campsites)
- bedding (you get sheets that fit the mattresses)
- playing cards or board games
- your favorite book or e-book reader
- water shoes, especially if you are going to rocky beaches
- scooters and/or bicycles – once you set up at the campsite, they will make it easier for you to explore, shop or get to some harder-to-reach places.
A little technology won’t hurt – before your trip, install apps with campsite and rest areas: Park4night, Acsi Kempingi. These are constantly updated databases of campsites in Europe.
